Every year from May 6th to May 12th, we celebrate National Nurses Week, a time dedicated to recognizing the unwavering dedication, compassion, and service of nurses across the country. At The Center for Integrative and Functional Health and Wellness, we take this opportunity to say a heartfelt thank you to the incredible nurses who serve our patients and community with excellence every day.
Nurses are the heart of healthcare. They are the ones who spend the most time with patients—offering comfort, asking hard questions, listening intently, and noticing the smallest signs that something might not be right. They advocate for their patients, help families navigate complicated decisions, and provide both medical and emotional support. Their work requires not only skill and knowledge but incredible heart.
Here at our office, we are blessed to work alongside two outstanding nurses:
Babetunde Alli, APRN, PMHNP, and Omolola Animashaun, APRN, PMHNP. Their professionalism, kindness, and tireless dedication to patient care are truly inspiring. Whether they are answering a question, offering a calming word, or helping implement a treatment plan, they do it all with grace and empathy. Their commitment makes a real difference in the healing journey of every person who walks through our doors.
This year’s theme for National Nurses Week is a reminder of how nurses lead, support, and innovate in every healthcare setting. From hospital floors to integrative clinics like ours, they play a vital role in patient outcomes and overall wellness. At a time when healthcare continues to evolve and expand, the role of the nurse has never been more important.
