My clinical experience includes therapeutically working with a wide range of clients with various mental health issues and age groups. I have experience with children who have complex behavioral and emotional issues and also with adults who have complex emotional needs which affect their well being and happiness. My experience has been strengthened because of my experience as a registered nurse. I believe by combining the two careers I can more fully treat clients of all age groups with mental health issues and when needed incorporate the effects of medical issues such as Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, and other chronic conditions that impinge on a person’s emotional health and joy. I believe in treating the client holistically and when needed make appropriate referrals. My passion and expertise has been in addictions, trauma, loss and grief, depression, PTSD, implications of legal issues, and managing difficult life struggles. I have experience in working with individual and couple’s therapy.

More recently I have also worked as a registered nurse in hospice and became a yoga instructor incorporating principles of mindfulness and meditation into my therapeutic approach. I teach yoga to cancer survivors and those who have other medical conditions.

I am trained in the use of broad therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Attachment Theory.
