About Dr. Vulchev
Alicia Vulchev, DC, is a chiropractor at The Center for Integrative and Functional Health and Wellness in Bloomingdale, Illinois. Dr. Vulchev focuses on finding the root cause of her patients’ problems to help them get stronger, healthier, and prevent further injuries. Known for her empathetic nature, Dr. Vulchev understands that people who experience chronic stress, physical and emotional pain feel crippled.
Dr. Vulchev earned her bachelor’s degree in communicative disorders at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois. She received her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, Illinois, provided by a scholarship awarded her by the NFL Professional Football Chiropractic Society.
She first became interested in chiropractic as an 18-year-old gymnast. She suffered from chronic back pain. Chiropractic care relieved her pain. She later experienced weakness and numbness in her right leg. Chiropractic care again improved her symptoms, and that led her to pursue her chiropractic degree.
Through her own experience and as the mother of a gymnast, she knows the frustration and toll pain takes both mentally and physically and how it can hold you back from reaching your goals.
